My generation of riders always tried to help each other not put each other down like what's going on here. I also had an issue with figuring out how the petcock goes on, but couldn't find anything to help me and no one except for Bobby has helped by pointing me to Puch wiki, which I couldn't find anything about Puch AD there. I was just trying to put something out there that maybe somebody was looking for. so at the end of the day me personally think this is worth more than a typical Maxi. In my experience in life, people try to lowball you so they can get it for cheap and then boast how they bought something cheap! Again, I may be new to your forum, but I am not new to Mopeds or motorcycles, I have at least 40 years experience with them. My intention was never to argue with anyone, just as I always have I put things out that maybe someone is interested in. I have made a pretty decent living selling Mopeds (high quality, low mileage, vintage bikes.) and I have never sold any Puch, let alone a rare one that runs with the title and is in what I would call almost pristine condition for a 30-year-old bike for under $850.
The only reason why I even debate with anyone, is I have seen what people sell in places like Ohio and even the big so-called moped companies sell junk. The people that would be interested say your nuts, maybe listen to the market? Also, your arguing with the very people that are your customer base about price. Pristine shape only makes it slightly more valuable than a pristine maxi. Its a puch so it carries some value there, but its just not the unicorn you want it to be. Just because there are not as many of a certain bike does not instantly make it super valuable. Besides its a poor season to sell mopeds. You can list it for $2800 just expect to sit on it for the next 10 years. Running and driving in reasonable condition $350-$500, and in exceptional condition running and driving you can get $500-$800. None running you can expect to get $200-$350 for it on craigslist assuming its complete and the motor isnt locked. The bike is not worthless but its not a gold mine like you claim. Pretty sure the astro diamlers used 16" 5 star mags, which makes them a little less desirable wheel for a lot of puch guys. There are some pics of Astro Diamlers in the photo section.
